There is enough reduction present to mask the underlying fruit today. Otherwise the rich, delicious and energetic medium-bodied flavors possess good levels of tannin-buffering dry extract, all wrapped in a precise, intense and mildly rustic finish. I like the balance and this should be quite good if allowed a few years of cellaring first.
