Chambertin Grand Cru 2016
Firm reduction. Otherwise the big-bodied, rich and voluminous flavors are blessed with reasonable amounts of mouth coating sève that buffers the ripe tannins on the powerful, focused, complex and admirably long finish. This is not super dense but it is classy and very well-balanced and should require 12 to 15 years to be at its best. As is almost always the case chez Charlopin, this is the best wine in the range in 2016.
