A background hint of pain grillé surrounds a mildly exotic nose of lychee nut, apricot, mango and lovely spice nuances. There is excellent size, weight, power and concentration to the beautifully intense medium weight plus flavors that coat the mouth in dry extract, all wrapped in a seriously long finish. This is a big yet well-balanced wine that should amply reward mid-term cellaring.
