Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2015

A cool, somber and brooding nose combines notes of ripe dark currant, forest floor, freshly turned earth and sauvage nuances. There is excellent size, weight and punch to the delicious yet very serious medium weight flavors that display ample minerality on the relatively powerful and impressively persistent finale. This is terrific for the appellation and is unmistakably Gevrey in character though note that moderate patience will be required. Highly recommended.
