Firm reduction makes the nose tough to read today. Otherwise there is a lovely inner mouth perfume to the velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors that are quite seductive on the mid-palate though this contrasts somewhat with the mildly rustic and austere finish. This too is sufficiently firmly structured to benefit from at least a few years of bottle age.
