Morey Saint Denis Les Monts Luisants 2013

The elevation is evident here as the aromatic profile is distinctly cooler and notably higher-toned as well with its airy and ultra-fresh essence of red berry and floral scents. Once again there is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the racy and well-detailed flavors that exhibit ample minerality on the somewhat edgy and tough finish. This was carrying quite a bit of gas which has a tendency to exacerbate the structural elements of a wine and particularly so on the finish.
