A highly perfumed if decidedly cool nose is comprised by the pure essence of red pinot fruit, spice and plenty of floral elements. The racy and almost painfully intense middleweight flavors are built on a base of pungent minerality before culminating in a linear, austere and almost strict finish. This is one of those wines that will not be especially interesting young as it is very, even extremely, tightly wound and needs to add flesh, particularly on the finish. So if you're going to buy, I would suggest doing so only with the express intent to let it age.
