Corton Les Paulands Grand Cru 2005
This too is aromatically reserved, in fact so much so that the nose is positively discreet at this point though vigorous swirling finally coaxes a complex, intense and dense nose given mostly to earthy red and dark fruit and this earthy character continues onto the rich, full and sweet flavors blessed with ample concentration on the focused, precise and sleekly muscled finish. This possesses wonderful depth and despite the size, this is more like a gymnast than a weight lifter. Good juice and built to age but as I say, it's not a massive Corton.
