Corton Les Paulands Grand Cru 2010
This highly complex nose is wonderfully broad with intense floral aromas serving as an attractive backdrop for the otherwise fresh and dense liqueur of red berries, earth and slightly sauvage scents. The big but not massively scaled flavors possess outstanding intensity on the pure, powerful and tautly muscled flavors that display terrific persistence on the palate staining finish. This is an interesting Corton because while there is the classic muscle and punch, the mouth feel is relatively refined in the context of what this is. Recommended though note well that it's pointless to buy this without the patience to allow it to properly age.
