Echezeaux Grand Cru 2019

Generous oak fights with the aromas of spicy pomegranate, cherry and violet. The exceptionally rich, even suave, medium-bodied flavors possess very good concentration, power and persistence on the mouth coating and sappy if somewhat sweet finish that I found borderline cloying. I suspect that this will become more interesting with age but for now, it's not at the same level as the best of these grands crus.
