Nuits-St. Georges 1er Cru "Aux Chaignots" 2020

An overtly floral-suffused nose displays pretty spice wisps that add a touch of elegance to the cool red currant coulis and soft earth scents that play right on the edge of perceptible volatile acidity. The vibrant, delineated and beautifully textured middle weight flavors that immediately tighten up on the youthfully austere and moderately firm finale that reminds you of its Nuits roots, even if it is a refined Nuits. I would add that assuming that the hint of VA does not become more prominent, that it should be a non-issue for most people unless you are extremely sensitive to it.
